Pusser’s British Navy Rum 0.7 l. British Navy sailors traditionally received a daily rum ration from 1655 until July 31, 1970. This ration was always issued by the purser (hence “pusser”), or ship’s storekeeper. In 1979, Charles Tobias obtained permission from the British Admiralty to produce rum according to the traditional 1655 recipe, making this excellent rum, originally intended only for the Navy, available to everyone today. Pusser’s Rum is also known as “Nelson’s Blood” because the famous Admiral Nelson favored it. It has a rich, caramel aroma with a cocoa finish, reminiscent of maple syrup or the finest Cognac.

A.H. Riise Royal Navy 0.7 l. This rum is once again produced according to the original recipe of Royal Navy rum, precisely as it was mixed and made by Albert Heinrich Riise. This rum was delivered by A. Riise to naval vessels that anchored in the port of Charlotte Amalie in the former Danish West Indies (now the U.S. Virgin Islands). This excellent rum is a combination of several different types of rums that age up to 20 years. This molasses-like rum is produced by slow fermentation. Subsequently, the alcohol is distilled in traditional Pot Still to 85% alcohol strength. This method produces an amazing rum with coffee, anise, licorice, burnt caramel, molasses, spice, and cedar notes. These tones blend with the exotic and refined flavor of bitter orange and bergamot. The taste of Navy Rum ends with a long, full, strong, and sweet finish. Rum Royal Navy is manually blended in small batches, is not cold-filtered, and does not have caramel added to it.
